“I am not here to inspire but to get inspire”, these beautiful lines are being said by Gujarat State Education Minister, Bhupendrasinh Chudasma present as a chief guest for the 1st annual function celebration of “Divya Nagari Slum Transformation Project” organized on 16th December 2015 at Divya Darshan Bhawan, Brahma Kumaris, Navrangpura from 3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
On this occasion, a wonderful cultural program was organized in which Divya Nagari Slum Children performed dance on various value based songs and shared their experiences. T-Shirt, Trouser, Toilet Kit, Stationary Kit, Exam Board were given as gift to all children to encourage them for further education. 1st annual service report book was also released by Hon’ble education minister.
Executive Director of Divya Nagari Slum Transformation Project, BK Ishitaben emphasised aim and objectives of the project and elaborated on the key activities and achievements of this project. She also said that present education system doesn’t provide significant value education which here these Divya Nagari Slum Children get. BK CA Lalitbhai (Accounts Department, Mount Abu), Project Director, Divya Nagari Slum Transformation Project had shared the proposed objective of serving elderly people of slum in the upcoming second year.
Bro. Dilip Gaur (Deputy Municipal Commissioner, AMC), Bro. Jagdish Bhavsar (Chairman, Ahmedabad Education School Board), BK Sarla Didi (Gujarat Zone In-charge, Brahma Kumaris), BK Chandrikabehn (Mahadevnagar Sub-Zone In-charge, Ahmedabad) and BK Kailash Didi had graced the occasion and appreciated the social activities carried out under this project.
Around 200 people from slum and members of Lalitkunj society had witnessed this celebration.
