A teacher plays an important role in shaping students life in all perspective. Apart from parents, children learn ethics and moral values from a teacher. This beautiful relationship between a teacher and a student is maintained by respect, gratitude and love. 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ day so as to acknowledge and respect teachers for their immense and selfless efforts in nurturing students.

On 4th September 2015, Divya Nagari Slum Children expressed their gratitude and love for BK Ishitaben (Centre In-charge, Navrangpura and Executive Director of Divya Nagari Slum Project) and all the faculties associated with the project by celebrating Teachers’ day in a very unique and creative way at Divya Darshan Bhawan from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Educational classes, meditation sessions, cultural program and students’ management, all these activities were organized and conducted by senior Divya Nagari children. In the beginning, meditation session is organized followed by regular education classes conducted by senior Divya Nagari Slum Children (Hetal, Tina, Saloni and Pinky). After the classes, children offered garland to BK Ishitaben, BK Diptiben, BK Krutiben and BK Dr. Bipinbhai and invited them on stage and organized interesting question-answer session. All children also offered rose as a token of appreciation to each faculty and acknowledge them for their selfless efforts. Two groups of Divya Nagari girls performed beautiful cultural dance in front of all.

At the end of program, all children were given toil (Prabhu Prasad).
